On the obverse 200-crown coin, is the state shield of the Slovak Republic, the value of the coin, 200 Sk, the year 1993, and the title of the state, SLOVENSKÁ REPUBLIKA.

On the reverse is a triple-potrait of Jozef Miloslav Hurban, Ľudovit Štúr and Michal Miloslav Hodža, the initials of these three personalities, and the years 1843 - 1993, inscription 150 ROKOV SPISOVNEJ SLOVENČINY (150 years of written Slovak), the initials of the artist who designed the 200-crown coin Miroslav Ronai - MR and the sign of the State Mint at Kremnica -MK.
