The Fao is an organization operating under the United Nations (UNO). Its motto is "Food for All". The numismatic program, which is only one FAO activity, aims to draw attention to food security through the coin. All countries of the world (National Banks, Central Banks, etc.) have been invited to participate in this numismatic program by including in their issuance programs coins (of precious metals, but also coins of common metals, low denominations) with the theme - food , agriculture, fishing, etc.
