Millennial Crown

Franz Joseph I ruled from 1848 to 1916. Coins minted during his reign are popular and highly sought after by collectors. One such coin is the Millennial Crown of 1896, struck at the Kremnica Mint to commemorate the millennium – the 1000th anniversary of the arrival of the Hungarians in the Carpathian Basin.

This restrike is unique not only for its historical significance but also for its packaging. It comes in a special box that faithfully replicates the original packaging used when the coins were first issued in 1896.
