Plague columns are not just works of art. In addition to their artistic value, they also carry a historical legacy. They were often built as a sign of thanksgiving for ending a plague or other epidemic. From this interesting series, we present the next one in a row, this time with the motif of the plague column in Trnava. Brass medal is interesting not only for its motif, but also for its oval shope. The Plague Column in the Holy Trinity in Trnava is located in the center of St. Nicholas Square in the Municipal Monument Reserve. It was built in 1731 as a memorial to the end of one of the great plague epidemics that gripped the whole of Europe. At the top of the plague column is St. Joseph.
