The second gold medal in the series of Kremnica strikes of Franz Joseph I is a replica of the so-called Federal 1-gulden coin from 1859.
The original coin was minted at the Kremnica Mint during the early years of Emperor Franz Joseph I’s reign, prior to the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867, in the era of the Austrian Empire (the so-called First Monarchy).
This replica is the second in a planned series of sixteen gold medals to be released over the coming years. Each year, two historical replicas will be issued, inspired by original Kremnica strikes from the period of Franz Joseph I’s rule.
Mintage: 300 pcs limited edition
